Michael Hamrick
From Louise Hamrick: My son, Michael, attends Golden Rule Services’ day program in Texas City and enjoys it immensely. I had real reservations in the beginning because Michael is very docile, totally blind and mentally challenged. I commented to one of his staff about my concerns. She laughed and said that, “We have 28 mothers and daddies (clients at the time in the day program) here and they all watch out for him.” Now Michael is almost shoving me out of the door when I drop him off. His communications skills and socialization have amazed us due to the fact that they tend to improve all the time. |
